AN EVENING WITH CAN’T BUY MY SILENCE: VICTORIA AND VANCOUVER MAY 6 AND 8

Join the Can't Buy My Silence campaign for an important discussion about the misuse of non-disclosure agreements. NDAs (or confidentiality agreements) were invented to protect intellectual property but have become the default solution for organizations, corporations and public entities to settle cases of sexual misconduct, racism, pregnancy discrimination, disability discrimination and other human rights violations.

We will discuss the ethical implications and far-reaching consequences of NDAs when used to silence victims, conceal wrongdoing and perpetuate a culture of secrecy.

Whether you or someone you know has been affected by an NDA, or you're a legal professional, human resources practitioner, business leader, union member, activist, student, faculty or staff member, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage in a critical dialogue on a profoundly significant issue.
